Student Membership:
One category of ITE membership is Student
Member. To be eligible, a student must be enrolled in a graduate or
undergraduate transportation-related program at a school of recognized standing
and not otherwise eligible for another grade of membership. Many colleges and
universities that offer degree programs in transportation engineering or closely
related fields have ITE student chapters.
There are currently four ITE student chapters within the boundaries of TSITE.
However, a student at any other Tennessee college or university can become an
ITE student member subject to the eligibility requirements described above.
ITE and its Districts and Sections provide many resources for students to learn
about career paths in transportation. ITE and TSITE meetings provide an
excellent opportunity for student members to make contacts with future employers
and new friends with common interests.
