 Joseph M. Thomas Young Member Award  
This award is presented at each SDITE Annual Meeting to an individual under the age of 35 who has contributed to the advancement of transportation engineering and SDITE. The selection of each recipient is based on such traits as integrity, morality, and leadership. The award is named after Joe Thomas, long-time director of the Bureau of Traffic Engineering for the City of Atlanta, author of more than 100 technical manuscripts, and past International Director of ITE.
